Colour-coded totals are displayed both by skill group and by work group. The colours give a clear indication of shifts which are below or above target. Managers can also look at the cover hour by hour to ensure that there are no problem areas.
Staff are assigned to skill groups and colour coded shift totals can be viewed by each skill group, highlighting any areas of concern. Each work group can designate certain ‘roster skills’ and monitor the number of staff per shift with each skill.
No - each work group can define up to twenty shifts which gives plenty of flexibility. They can also specify which shifts are to have target numbers, and if required they can ‘map’ shifts to be counted in the targets for other shifts. For example, a Long Day shift may be counted in the totals for the Early and Late shifts.
Yes. External staff (bank/agency staff, students, etc) can be added to rosters. They are assigned a skill group and given shifts in the normal way. All their time is tracked and once they’ve been added a first time, they can be easily re-selected as their details are stored
Yes. Staff can be transferred to another ward, either for a whole shift or part of a shift. The transfer can be viewed both in the ‘home’ ward and in the ‘away’ ward.
Yes, and it feeds this information through to the online timesheet. Staff can check that the enhancements are correct before submitting the timesheet to the manager who can then authorize it and forward it to payroll.
Yes, the roster can be printed at any time, although obviously a printed version may soon be out of date.
Yes, the system has been designed to cater for this, so the person’s details are held centrally but they can be added to more than one work group.
